According to her publicist Diana Baron, Rimes has suffered a tissue tear on her legs and she was scheduled to have a surgery in Los Angeles in a few days. “It’s a minor surgery, but because of the infection it was urgent that she takes care of it right away”, she said.

The concerts that Rimes canceled are the one on Thursday in Hampton Beach, the shows on Friday and Saturday at Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada. Even if she has the surgery, the singer will fulfill the remaining representations of her actual tour, called “This Woman”. But this just after a short recovery.
