Dell today announced several new entertainment-oriented products,including its unique XPS M2010, first shown in concept form at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. Here’s what it looks like:

The new XPS M2010 features an adjustable 20.1-inch widescreen display (WSXGA+), a full-sized, detachable Bluetooth keyboard with gyroscope-enabled remote, integrated 1.3Mp Webcam, a slot-loading DVD drive, and eight built-in speakers with a sub woofer. The hinges that support the display double as handles allowing the system to be semi-portable.

The XPS M2010 will be powered by up to 4GB of dual channel DDR2 memory and Intel Core Duo processors, up to and including the 2.16GHz T2600 chip. Graphics will be served up by an ATI 256 Mobility Radeon X1800 graphics controller. More specs may be found at Dell’s site.

The XPS M2010 may not be for everyone given its starting price of $3500, but we certainly plan to get one in for testing quite soon to see how it stacks up against Toshiba’s Qosmio entertainment notebook.

Dell also announced its M1210 laptop today Starting at 4.37 pounds, the M1210 features a 12.1-inch widescreen display (with 1280-by-800 resolution) and a magnesium alloy frame. It will use Intel Core Duo processors, and you’ll be able to decide between either integrated graphics or an optional 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 graphics chip. Here’s what it looks like:

Also optional will be an audio-visual package that includes an integrated webcam, Skype VoIP and video chat software, noise-isolation ear buds, and embedded mobile broadband. The XPS M1210 is available from $1300 and more details can be found here.

Also included in today’s announcment is Dell’s new high-end gaming and performance desktop, the XPS 700. The XPS 700, shown below, will also be available in kit form, for build-your-own PC enthusiasts. The kit will cost $1,120 and include the chassis, an Intel 930 processor, 512MB of memory, motherboard, and a power supply. Here’s one version of the XPS 700:

Starting at $2310 if Dell builds it for you, the XPS 700 supports NVIDIA Quad-SLI graphics, AGEIA PhysX physics accelerators and the latest Intel dual-core processors. Get more details on the XPS 700 here.

Dell also announced a 24-inch monitor it says is optimized for gaming and/or multimedia use, the 2407WFP.
