No Truth to Google PC or Google OS

No Truth to Google PC or Google OS

Google says that there is no truth to a Google PC or a Google OS branded computer with Wal-mart deal.

What a day its been. Seems like someone from the CES showroom floor started a rumour. The rumour was the new Google branded PC, which included Firefox as the default browser running on a Google operating system.

The news was heard about the world in just 20 minutes, and it even gave boost to Google’s stock price which is now targeted at $600 per share.

With the Internet again hot with profit potential, all eyes were turned today towards Google as Piper Jaffray raised the target price of Google to $600 per share. That would be 50 times their annual earnings this year, which is
not ordinarily out of the question. But speculation ran ramped all across the Internet today about Google.

The most interesting of these stories is that Google has contacted Wal-Mart and negotiated a deal to market a new Google branded computer. The computer is said to be a computer completely devoid of any Microsoft products. Running the Linux operating system and possibly Mozilla Internet browser and email products, this was called by some the “anti-Microsoft” computer.

According to Google, there is no truth to the rumor. Google stated that there are a number of companies out there doing a great job in their sector of the market and that Google is not interested in getting into the computer market. Wal-Mart further stated that there have been no discussions with Google. Larry Page from Google will address the details on Friday at CES 2006 in Las Vegas.
